Salko S. ŠESTIĆ
SALIH SALKO ŠESTIĆ, son of SULEJMAN, born on April 5, 1922, in Mostar, a high school student and amateur photographer. […]
We heard about this poem in the available literature, but we couldn’t find it anywhere. This is how it came to be: when a young communist league member Salko Šestić was killed while trying to escape from the police, Mostar was in shock. The comrades swore revenge, and several girls wrote himi a post-humous poem. Many years later, one of them called Munevera wrote down the poem from memory and gave it to the Šestić family. You can read the poem “Spomen Salki” (In Memory of Salko) in Bosnina here or on the profile page of Salko Šestić.
Our sincere thanks to the Šestić family for providing the material.
