Žarko Đ. MARIĆ
ŽARKO MARIĆ, son of ĐOKO, born on December 31, 1925* in Mostar. He was a student. During the war, he lived in Bratač near Nevesinje. He joined the National Liberation War and the Partisan Detachments of Yugoslavia in November 1944 in the 12th Herzegovinian Brigade. He was a fighter and died on May 12, 1945* on Zelengora*.
EXCERPT FROM LITERATURE:
“During the search of the area near Jeleč, the Chetniks captured three fighters from the 4th Battalion. They immediately slaughtered Žarko Marić from Mostar and Paša Durić from the vicinity of Derventa (…)”.
