Ljuban M. AJVAZ
LJUBAN AJVAZ, son of MARKO, born on November 14, 1907, in Mostar. Locksmith. Worked as a school caretaker. Pre-war member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ), arrested and convicted multiple times. After the demonstrations in September 1940, he was arrested and taken to the Lepoglava camp, from where he was released. The following were also sent to Lepoglava in the first group of arrests: Imšir Gigić, Mustafa Bjelavac, Nikola Abramović Bjelica, Rade Bitanga, Mustafa Alajbegović, Smajo Brkić, Hasan Krešo, Slavko Balać, Luka Knežić. Ljubo Ajvaz was arrested in the second group, which included: Mustafa Humo, Velija Hujdur, Vasilije Tošić, Mile Ćećez, Rade Majstorović, and Rudolf Hrozniček. He was arrested by the Ustaše in Mostar* in July 1941 and killed.
