Avdo A. GUŠIĆ
AVDO (ALIJE) GUŠIĆ, born on July 1, 1922, in Mostar. Bricklayer. Member of SKOJ (League of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia) since 1941. Joined the People’s Liberation Movement and Partisan Detachments in Eastern Herzegovina in August 1941, and in September 1941, joined the Mostar (Konjic) Battalion. Youth leader of the company. Fighter, killed during the Battle of Sutjeska (according to some sources, on the Piva river) in early June 1943, as part of the 5th Montenegrin Brigade.
