Luka G. CVITKOVIĆ
LUKA CVITKOVIĆ, son of GRGO, born on March 4, 1915, in the settlement of Ilići (Radobolja) near Mostar. Joined the People’s Liberation War on February 15, 1945. A fighter of the 1st Platoon, 1st Battalion. According to a document, he was wounded by a launcher on April 9, 1945, at a position near Senj and was sent to the medical station of the 19th Division for treatment. He is listed as one of the fallen fighters of the 6th Dalmatian Brigade, 19th Division, with serial number 48. He died on April 22, 1945, in Martinovo Selo (municipality of Jelenje) during the battles for the liberation of Rijeka and was buried on the same day in that place.
After the war, Luka’s remains were transferred to the memorial ossuary in Trsat. In the crypt, there is a plaque with the name Luka Cvitković.
