Alija S. ARAP
ALIJA ARAP, son of SEJDO, born on January 4, 1927* in Mostar, learned the trade of a metalworker. He became a member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) in 1941 and joined the Battalion in November 1941. He was a fighter and was killed in Bradina near Konjic in October 1944. He was part of a partisan reconnaissance unit sent towards the railway on October 24, which did not return from the mission. They were intercepted and executed by legionnaires. He was described as “a boy from Gornje Mazoljice, dark-skinned, like an Arab (his last name).”
