Mirko V. ANDRIĆ
MIRKO ANDRIĆ, son of VOISLAV*, born on July 16, 1919, in the village of Pijesci near Mostar. He was a farmer. He joined the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia in February 1945* as a fighter in the 1st Battalion of the 14th Herzegovina Brigade. He was killed in action against German units on the Blažuj-Kiseljak road on April 7, 1945.

“On the afternoon of the same day, a group of comrades from Dubrave arrived: SALKO MRGAN, the leader of the group, MIRKO ANDRIĆ, ASIM BUĆ, MUHAMED KEBO, MUSAIR KEBO, SALKO RAHIMIĆ and ALIJA ULAKOVIĆ, a former gendarme. With great joy, the group joined a small detachment with the same goal — to reach the Konjic Battalion together.” (“The Mostar Battalion”, p. 106)
