Vinko I. DŽIDIĆ
VINKO DŽIDIĆ, son of IVAN, born on August 28, 1913, in Goranci near Mostar. A barber. A member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) since 1941, he was a prominent activist and anti-fascist in Mostar. He was arrested by the Italians in March 1942 and taken to the Mamula camp, where he was executed in June 1942 on Kameno near Herceg Novi.
After the war, the state-owned company of hair salons in Mostar was named after Vinko Džidić.
