Stojan I. ZOVKO
STOJAN ZOVKO, son of IVAN, born on October 23, 1919, in Polog near Mostar. A miller. Fighter of the 1st Banijski NOP Detachment of the 3rd Banija Brigade from November 1942. Deputy commissioner of the platoon. Described as “a hero among heroes, a renowned machine gunner,” who was killed in early 1943 in Lađevica near Slunj (Kordun).
