Salko M. GOZO
SALIH SALKO GOZO, son of MEHMED, born on July 31, 1908, in Mostar. Locksmith. Member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) since 1938, pre-war activist and revolutionary. Arrested and imprisoned multiple times. From 1940, worked in the railway depot in Sarajevo. In early August 1941, he left Sarajevo to organize an uprising and became the commander of the Trebević insurgent detachment. Captured by the Ustaše on August 11, 1941, in Hadžići, and executed on September 2, 1941, in Vrace, Sarajevo.
According to the archives of Radmilo Braca Andrić, the remains of Salko Gozo were transferred and buried in the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar.
