Osman M. BRKIĆ
OSMAN BRKIĆ BUBREG, son of MUHAMED, born on May 15, 1915, in Mostar, locksmith, member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) since 1941. Football player for “Velež”. He was arrested by the Italians in May 1942 and taken to the Mamula camp in the Bay of Kotor. When Italy was defeated, the camp was dissolved, and Osman joined one of the Herzegovinian brigades in the Mostar Battalion. Fighter, political commissar of the unit, he died in Grušći near Konjic in April 1944 during a battle with the Chetniks.
