Omer J. TRBONJA
OMER (JUSUF) TRBONJA, born on May 26, 1927, in Mostar. Worker at the Coal Mine in Mostar. Member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ). Joined the People’s Liberation War (NOV i POJ) in the summer of 1944, in the 12th Herzegovinian Brigade. Fighter. Died in April 1945 near Busovača. According to the family members, his body was never found.
Brother of the national hero Mehmed Trbonja and fallen fighter Bećir Trbonja. A street in Mostar is named after the Trbonja brothers.
