Mehmed M. ĆEHAJIĆ
MEHMED ĆEHAJIĆ, son of MUSTAFA, born in 1903 in Bosanska Dubica. Police officer, he lived with his family in Mostar since 1936. From April 1941, he worked in the NDH police issuing IDs and passes. Activist of the National Liberation War. Arrested by the NDH police in Mostar at the end of 1941 for illegally issuing passes to persecuted and interned citizens of Mostar. After months of investigation and brutal harassment, he was brought to court, but due to his severe illness, he was allowed to defend himself while remaining at liberty. He went to Banja Luka in early 1943, where he soon passed away.
