Mehmed J. ĐUKIĆ
MEHMED MEHO ĐUKIĆ, son of JUSUF, born in 1920* in Mostar, construction technician, member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1940. Member of the neighborhood core of SKOJ and member of Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) since 1943, engaged in underground work. Joined the Battalion in March 1943. Fighter, killed as the deputy political commissar of the 2nd Battalion, 10th Herzegovina Brigade on February 9, 1944* in Domaševo near Ljubomir. Recommended for bravery commendation. In the People’s Liberation War, two of Mehmed’s brothers, Šaćir and Salko Đukić, and sister Ramiza Đukić were killed.
* According to the information from the book “Spomenica Mostara 1941-1945,” he was born on April 2, 1920, and died in 1944.
