Ives V. SAMARDŽIĆ
IVANKA IVES SAMARDŽIĆ, daughter of VLADIMIR, born in Mostar on January 25, 1925. Completed the eighth grade of the Gymnasium in Sarajevo. Member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1943. Worked with Jevđević, Strahinja Šimišić, and Mirko Kravić. Arrested by the Ustaše on March 24, 1945, and hanged on March 27–28 during mass execution at Marindvor (Marijin dvor) in Sarajevo. According to sources, “she conducted herself with dignity at the trial. Her interrogation was interrupted by Maks Luburić, who declared it unnecessary and stated that Ives had been sentenced to death.
