Hasan A. BUBIĆ
HASAN HASO BUBIĆ, son of ALAGA, born on July 25, 1914, in Mostar, carpenter, member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) since 1938. In the Battalion from September 1941. On one occasion, he served as a member of the people’s court that sentenced captured Ustasha members to death for their crimes (some were released). He was a platoon commander and died in Bijela near Konjic in February 1943, during the battles against the Chetniks.
This is how the comrades remembered Hasan Bubić:
“During the pursuit of the Chetniks towards Bijela, our 3rd platoon lost its commander Hasan Bubić, a worker from Mostar, a pre-war Party member, skilled and resolute fighter and leader, who was an example of consistency in implementing not only his own decisions but also the orders of superiors, especially in carrying out party tasks. He stood out for his seriousness and humility, particularly caring for the fighters.”
