Esad S. ELEZOVIĆ
ESAD ELEZOVIĆ, son of SALIH, born in 1924, Mostar, a worker, a member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1941, and in the Battalion from early 1942. Due to illness, he was sent back from Crno Polje to Mostar during the Chetnik coup in June 1942. He was arrested by the NDH police in 1943 and taken to the Stara Gradiška camp. According to a Ustasha document, he was “sentenced to 3 years in a camp based on the proposal of Ž.R.O. in Mostar; he voluntarily joined the outlaws and participated in battles against Croatian armed forces.” He was transferred from Stara Gradiška to the Jasenovac concentration camp, where he was killed in 1945.
