Esad M. SLIPIČEVIĆ
ESAD SLIPIČEVIĆ, son of MUHAMED, born on January 1, 1922, in Mostar. A worker and a member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1941. Joined the Battalion in January 1943 as a fighter and died in Vrdolje near Konjic in March 1944.
The circumstances of Esad’s death, as follows:
“A few days later, during the night, a Domobran company and a platoon of the 369th Devil’s Division from Podorašac surprised our platoon, which was accompanied by Battalion Commissar Fadil Numić. A brief fight broke out, and our forces managed to withdraw. The enemy captured Esad Slipičević, a worker from Mostar, who was severely wounded. He died on the way to Podorašac, while Sarajlić was later interned in a concentration camp.”
