Dejan D. PAVIĆ
DEJAN (DRAŠKO) PAVIĆ, born on August 14, 1926, in Mostar, a student at the Gymnasium. A member of SKOJ since 1942. Joined the People’s Liberation War (NOV i POJ) in June 1944, serving in the 1st (Mostar) Battalion of the 13th Herzegovinian Brigade. A fighter, killed near Nevesinje. Captured by the Chetniks at Trusina in July 1944 and killed.
Dejan’s father, Draško, a railway worker, was taken and killed by the Ustaše in the Jadovno camp near Gospić in the summer of 1941.
According to the archives of Radmilo Braca Andrić, the remains of Dejan Pavić were transferred and buried in the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar.
Dejan’s name was recorded on a memorial plaque at Mostar Gymnasium after the war. The plaque disappeared without a trace during the wartime events in 1992-1995.
