Branko V. BOŠNJAK

(1920. Nevesinje – 1942. Nevesinje)

BRANKO BOŠNJAK, known as SELO, son of VLADO, born on April 12, 1920, in Bojišta near Nevesinje. Student at the Gymnasium in Mostar. Member of the Communist Youth League (SKOJ) since 1941. Joined the People’s Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments in September 1941 in the Mostar (Konjic) Battalion as a fighter. Killed on February 6, 1942, in Grdača, Živanj, near Nevesinje.

Branko’s name was recorded on the memorial plaque for fallen students and professors at the Mostar Gymnasium. The plaque disappeared without a trace during the war events in 1992-1995.
