Atif A. ĐUKIĆ
ATIF ĐUKIĆ BELI, son of AVDIJA, born in February 1922 in Mostar, was a locksmith. He was a pre-war member of SKOJ since 1940 and a football player for “Velež.” Together with Salko Baraković, on April 12, 1942, they attempted to assassinate Stjepan Barbarić, the secretary of the Great Parish of Hum in Mostar. Salko and Atif threw a “kragujevka” and an Italian bomb, but the “kragujevka” did not explode, and the Italian bomb did, but without effect. From August 1943, Atif served as a fighter in the Battalion. He died in Grušća near Konjic in April 1944 during the Chetnik coup and attack on the hospital. The hospital housed the following wounded and typhoid patients: AHMET AHMIĆ, MILA ANDRIĆ, OSMAN BRKlĆ BUBREG, MURIZ ĆIŠIĆ, DRAGAN ĐAJlĆ, ATIF ĐUKIĆ BELI, SALIH ĐUKlĆ, SVETO KOZlĆ, MILAN MIĆEVIĆ, the commander of the Detachment, AMIR MUHlĆ, and ĐORĐE ŠINIKOVIĆ.
