Adil A. ĆATIĆ
ADIL ĆATIĆ, son of AVDO, born on January 17, 1924, in Mostar. High school student. Member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1941, secretary of the SKOJ branch. Joined the the National Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments in the summer of 1943 in the 5th Battalion of the 10th Herzegovina Brigade, as a fighter. Died in the village of Doli near Bileća in 1943.
After the war, Adil’s name was recorded on the memorial plaque at Mostar Gymnasium. The plaque disappeared without a trace during the war events of 1992-1995.
A promenade near the Radobolja river in Mostar used to be called after the Ćatić brothers.
