Vahida V. MUJAN
VAHIDA MUJAN, born in 1928 in Mostar, a nurse in the partisan unit, was killed during a Chetnik attack on the partisan hospital in the village of Grušća near Konjic in 1944.
EXCERPT FROM LITERATURE:
“When the fighters of the Mostar Partisan Detachment crossed from the left to the right bank of the Neretva River in April 1944, their hospital with 15 wounded and sick partisans remained in the village of Grušći. There were also about ten field workers and dozens of security personnel, totaling around 35 people. Three girls from Mostar stayed there as nurses: Sofija Onešćuk, Fatima Ševa, and Vahida Mujan. The hospital was well hidden in the forest in cabins. However, on April 28th, the Chetniks discovered the hospital, attacked its protective unit, broke through, and entered among the 143 helpless patients. Among the twenty-eight dead and killed were these three young women from Mostar.”
