Žarko S. SUDAR
ŽARKO SUDAR, son of SIMO, born on June 9, 1924*, in Bačevići near Mostar. A student at the Civic School. A member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1942. He joined the People’s Liberation Army in March 1943, serving in the 5th Battalion of the 10th Herzegovina Brigade as a lance corporal. A fighter who died in the battles in Podušlje near Bileća on September 4, 1944.
“From September 5 to 9, the 11th Brigade, pushing back about 500 Chetniks from the Gatačka Brigade from Bodežište and Nadinići towards Plužine, took control of the area of Mjedenik—Slivlje—Kokorina. At Brajčevići, on September 4, the fighter Žarko Sudar from Bačevići of the 11th Brigade was killed.”
