Savo S. PALAVESTRA
SAVO PALAVESTRA, son of SIMO, born on September 22, 1926, in Gnojnica near Mostar. Farmer. He joined the People’s Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments in August 1944, in the 3rd Battalion of the 10th Herzegovina Brigade. A fighter, he was killed in Dubrave (according to the book “Spomenica Mostara 1941-1945,” at Prevlaka near Herceg Novi) on November 22, 1944, during the three-month battles on the “green line” as part of the units of the 29th Division.
