STEVAN LOJPUR, son of JANKO, born on March 23, 1920, in Ravna, Bijelo Polje near Mostar. Farmer. He joined the People’s Liberation War and Partisan Detachments in February 1945, serving in the 3rd Battalion of the 13th Herzegovinian Brigade. He was a fighter and was killed on February 23, 1945, near Konjic.
EXCERPT FROM LITERATURE:
“(…) However, even during that ‘lull’, while awaiting the arrival of the 3rd Division (consisting of 4 German mountain guns, 75 mm M-15) of the newly formed Artillery Brigade of the 29th Division, the 13th Brigade lost, in addition to several wounded, nine fallen fighters. Among them were Stevo Lojpur, Muha Hindić, Halil Kurk, Halil Džambegović, Nikola Arar, Ilija Gavran, Ćašif Taslidža, and Salko Halebić. Also, Remzija Brkić, deputy quartermaster of the 1st Battalion, lost their life.”
