BORIVOJE VULI\u0106, son of GAVRILO, born on November 2, 1912, in Mostar. After completing the Military Academy, he soon joined the aviation corps. He graduated from the reconnaissance school in 1934 and the pilot school in 1937.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the year 1941 when the war broke out he was serving as a pilot in the 66th Air Group of the 7th Air Regiment. He took part in bombing the airport near Shkodra and enemy motorized units in the Ka\u010danik Gorge. After the capitulation of Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1941, he escaped by plane to the Middle East (recorded during the evacuation on April 16, 1941, with Franjo Intihar<\/a> and other crew members).<\/p>\n\n\n\n He joined the British RAF aviation – by the end of 1943, he was sent to Canada for training on heavy bombers. Upon his return, he was integrated into the 15th United States Air Force in the Mediterranean and continued to carry out wartime missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As the second pilot on Captain Blagoje Radosavljevi\u0107’s bomber, he flew in a large bomber formation to bomb German aviation industry sites. He died upon returning from a successfully completed mission as the pilot of a downed B-24 aircraft above Knin-Drni\u0161 on August 24, 1944.
