MUHAMED RASIM VEJZOVI\u0106, son of OMER, born in 1918 in Mostar. Barber. Member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ), activist, and underground worker. Was arrested by the Italians in April 1943. Arrested again by the Usta\u0161e in February 1945 in Mostar, taken to Sarajevo, and killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The underground worker Hasnija Demirovi\u0107, n\u00e9e Krpo, believed that Rasim was killed in a concentration camp. She recalled: “At the beginning of the war, they often left bundles of bulletins and proclamations with me, which we then distributed further. Similar materials were brought by other workers, including, I remember, Rasim Vejzovi\u0107 (killed in the concentration camp) and his mother Zejna.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the greatest atrocities against the people of Mostar by the Ustasha occurred towards the end of the war. Despite retreating, the Ustasha arrested a number of activists and sympathizers from Mostar and took them to Sarajevo. Some were killed together with the citizens of Sarajevo, while others were taken to Jasenovac and executed there. From the biographies of the victims, it is evident that it was not always possible to determine who perished at which location. According to the above article, the victims had already been killed when the announcement was printed.<\/div>\r\n
