TRIPO ULJAREVI\u0106, son of \u0110OR\u0110E, born on February 15, 1921*, in Bablja Glava near Nevesinje*. He lived with his relatives in Mostar in order to attend school. Welder. Pre-war member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) and member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ). Arrested with a group of Mostar residents in April 1942 by the Italian army, as retaliation for sabotage – the fire at the Tobacco Factory in Mostar. Four prominent activists, Dr. Zvonko Mari\u0107<\/a>, Vinko D\u017eidi\u0107<\/a>, Tripo Uljarevi\u0107, and Borivoje Zurovac<\/a>, were taken to the concentration camp on the Prevlaka peninsula, and then to prison in the fortress on Mamula. Immediately upon arriving to “Spanjola” in Herceg Novi, they were executed on Kameno in June 1942.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mostar, help was organized for the arrested and deported fighters and their families. The first shipment of thirty-eight packages was brought to Mamula by Saveta Radi\u0161i\u0107 Gana and Tripo Uljarevi\u0107’s girlfriend, who shortly after learned that he had already been executed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
