Student of Gymnasium. With his family, he emigrated to Serbia in 1941 and lived as a refugee in children&#8217;s homes in Kraljevo, \u010ca\u010dak, Vrnja\u010dka Banja, and Aran\u0111elovac. He joined the People&#8217;s Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments in September 1944 in the 5th Kraji\u0161ka Brigade as a fighter.
