MUHAMED HAMO \u0160I\u0160IRAK, son of HALIL, born on February 16, 1920, in Mostar. A law student in Zagreb. Member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ), secretary of the Regional Committee of the KPJ for Mostar in 1942, an underground activist who participated in the dispatch of units to join the Partisans. A part of the “channel” that functioned as follows: “Groups gathered in Donja Mahala and in the houses of Fatima Vila, \u0110ulsa Hadrovi\u0107, and Munte, and Avdija Pavlovi\u0107<\/a>, from where they were taken out at night by Vaso Maslo, Muhamed Bostand\u017ei\u0107, and Remzija Brki\u0107<\/a> to the village of Ba\u0107evi\u0107i, where they were received by Dragutin, Desimir, and Ljubo Savi\u0107, who transported them across the Neretva River by boat, and from there Slavko, Risto, Spaso <\/a>and Vlado Ivani\u0161evi\u0107 with \u017darko, Mirkom <\/a>and Sima \u0160upljeglav from Laki\u0161evina, led them to Hodbina and further to Rotimlja, where Safet D\u017einovi\u0107 organized their accommodation and meals during rest periods. The groups were then taken over by Mehmed Buljko, Muhamed \u0160i\u0161irak, Mehmed Rajkovi\u0107, and Jovo Lu\u010di\u0107<\/a>, who brought them to the base of the Mostar Youth Detachment in the village of Bjelojevi\u0107i, Hairli\u0107i hamlet. The channel functioned perfectly, and there was never a breach. Only members of the KPJ and SKOJ were involved in this channel.”<\/em> He was a member of the local committee of the Communist Party in Mostar and served as the secretary of the party branch in the village of Rotimlja. He was a political activist in Dubrava, where he was arrested and killed by the Germans in the summer of 1943.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
