LJUBO STAJI\u0106, son of RISTO, born on March 16, 1923, in Slivlje near Gacko. A graphic worker. He joined the People’s Liberation Army in the summer of 1941 in the “Nevesinjska pu\u0161ka” Detachment, and in January 1942, he joined the 1st Assault Battalion. He was captured by the Italians and taken to the Mamula camp, and then to the Visco di Udine camp. After Italy’s capitulation, he joined the Slovenian brigade “Ljubo \u0160ercer” as a fighter. He died on March 24, 1944, in the village of Jar\u0161e on Pohorje.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
