Member of the Communist Youth League (SKOJ) since 1941. Joined the People’s Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments in late 1941 in the Mostar (Konjic) battalion. Fighter. During the Chetnik coup in June 1942, he was brought back to Mostar from Crno Polje due to exhaustion.
