Activist of the workers&#8217; movement and NOP in Mostar. Official of FC &#8220;Vele\u017e&#8221;. Arrested by the Italians on April 22, 1942, and taken to Mamula camp, where he spent a year. After his release, he returned to Mostar. Arrested by the Ustasha along with a group of Mostar residents shortly before the liberation of Mostar on February 12 or 13, 1945, and taken to Sarajevo. Executed as part of Ustasha retaliation. Namely, after the unsuccessful assassination attempt on the notorious ustasha commander Maks Luburi\u0107 in early March 1945, Luburi\u0107 took over the judiciary in Sarajevo and formed his own Summary Court. This so-called Summary Court, through the verdicts UKP. No. 1\/45 and UKP No. 2\/45, published in the final issue of the Ustasha newspaper &#8220;Novi list&#8221; on April 3, 1945, sentenced dozens of people to death. Early morning on March 28, 1945, seven days before the liberation of the city, the Ustasha publicly hanged 56 people at Marindvor, and additional bodies were found in Luburi\u0107&#8217;s villa that could not be identified due to the mutilation of the remains. Despite retreating, the Ustasha arrested a number of activists and sympathizers from Mostar and took them to Sarajevo. Some were killed together with the citizens of Sarajevo, while others were taken to Jasenovac and executed there. From the biographies of the victims, it is evident that it was not always possible to determine who perished at which location.
