The battle in which Esad was killed is recorded as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“On that day, the 14th Brigade, after relieving the 13th Brigade in its sector of the front, remained in positions to secure the passage of other units. However, it happened that the enemy began to withdraw simultaneously. The Brigade took advantage of this by exerting pressure with its weaker units to liberate Ostro\u017eac. In the battles fought by the Division from April 18 to 22, mostly in the Biha\u0107 field, 9 fighters and non-commissioned officers were killed, and around twenty were wounded.
