RUDOLF MEDVE\u0160EK, born on April 13, 1913, in Mostar. Slovenian by origin. He was the eldest son of FRANJO and KATINKA Medve\u0161ek. His father, Franjo, was a train conductor who was transferred to Mostar and later to Metkovi\u0107, where he died of malaria while working as a train dispatcher. Rudolf had one brother and three sisters. He worked as a locksmith in Zagreb. He was an activist in the National Liberation Movement. He joined the People’s Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments (NOV i POJ) in 1943. He was a fighter and died in 1943 near Li\u010dka Kapela.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
