Fighter, killed in the village of Pijesci near Mostar on October 30, 1944, during the offensive towards Mostar. His name is recorded on the memorial plaque to fallen fighters and victims of fascism in Ortije\u0161.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The enemy positions in Pijesci, along the road to Mostar, where Italian soldiers and Usta\u0161e previously cut down the forest and created a clear area, later fortified by German soldiers and Usta\u0161e with barbed wire and landmines, were attacked by the 1st and 2nd battalions. However, despite capturing advanced positions, they were repelled and pushed back to their starting positions. They were also repelled the following night (October 30).
