In 1931, he passed the exam for the rank of reserve infantry second lieutenant, in 1940 he became a reserve lieutenant. One of the people from Mostar in the group of 55 citizens taken to Sarajevo in February 1945 and killed in March, on the orders of Vjekoslav Maks Luburi\u0107, just before the Ustasha withdrawal from Sarajevo. Despite retreating, the Ustasha arrested a number of activists and sympathizers from Mostar and took them to Sarajevo. Some were killed together with the citizens of Sarajevo, while others were taken to Jasenovac and executed there. From the biographies of the victims, it is evident that it was not always possible to determine who perished at which location.
