Joined the People’s Liberation War and Partisan Detachments of Yugoslavia in October 1941, in the Mostar (Konjic) Battalion. Platoon commander, killed in the Chetnik coup in June 1942 in Drami\u0161evu near Nevesinje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When the courier returned from Drami\u0161evo, he announced that Novica was sick and Vasi’s child had been bitten by a snake, so they couldn’t come and asked him to come to Drami\u0161evo. Vasi\u0107 immediately decided to go to Drami\u0161evo with his unit to have a conversation with Glogovac. Hasan Daupovi\u0107 \u0160koda, Abdulah Dizdarevi\u0107 Dule, and Martin Ragu\u017e joined them. Near Drami\u0161evo, along the cart road that led through pastures and open areas, the compact column of the unit was moving and presented an ideal target for the Chetnik ambush. Vasi\u0107 and Ilija Glogovac were at the rear of the column. The Chetniks allowed our column to come at a short distance and then opened fire on them. The front of the column, mowed down by bullets, fell to the ground, with most of them fatally wounded. The rear took cover and started shooting. They wounded three Chetniks. Immediately after, anyone who could, escaped. When the shooting started, Ilija Glogovac got up and ran away.
