Official, member of SKOJ since 1939 and the Communist Party of Yugoslavia since 1940. Joined the Battalion in May 1942, serving as a political delegate of the platoon. Transferred in November 1942 to the 1st Battalion of the 10th Herzegovina Brigade. Killed in Mudrike near Travnik in January 1943. According to Fadil Buturovi\u0107, executed for disobedience. His younger brother <a href=\"https:\/\/partizansko.info\/en\/partizan\/remzija-s-cisic\/\">Remzija<\/a> and cousin <a href=\"https:\/\/partizansko.info\/en\/partizan\/alija-s-cisic\/\">Alija<\/a> also died in the People&#8217;s Liberation War. His other brother Hilmija, a fighter, survived the war.  A street in Mostar bears the name of the \u0106i\u0161i\u0107 brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the archives of Radmilo Braca Andri\u0107, the remains of Ibrahim \u0106i\u0161i\u0107 were transferred and buried in the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Excerpt from Literature (memories of Fadil Buturovi\u0107):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;There were stories about books, recitations of poems by poets born in Brankovac: &#8220;\u0110aurka lijepa&#8221; by Osman \u0110iki\u0107 and &#8220;Emina&#8221; by Aleksa \u0160anti\u0107, &#8220;Poletarka&#8221; by Svetozar \u010corovi\u0107\u2026 The guitar would play, accompanied by the beautiful voice of Ibro \u0106i\u0161i\u0107: &#8220;\u2026 Sonja, your black hair \/ I&#8217;ve kissed countless times in my dreams\u2026&#8221;, the guitar lamented over the fate of the exiles in the desolate Siberian wastelands, it spoke of a knife in the heart of an unfaithful beloved woman, of the endless love of a killer-exile: &#8220;\u2026I can&#8217;t forget you \/ You flower from the valleys of the Volga\u2026&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;(\u2026) Ibro trained us for inter-mahala competitions in jumping off the cliffs of the Neretva River. His voice (&#8220;\u2026 puff out your chest, suck in your stomach, kick your legs high, high\u2026&#8221;) still echoes in my ears. I see him, absorbed in his efforts to prepare us as best as possible for the competition of jumping on our feet and on our heads from the Bunur Rapids\u2026&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Gostina \u0160uma (\u2026), that is the clearing above the eastern part of the city, above Dronja and the Orthodox church, one of the slopes of Vele\u017e &#8211; known to the city residents, especially children, as a grim and always dark abode of giants and witches, known and unknown snakes, among them the most dangerous &#8211; the horned viper. Whoever enters and comes out unharmed, with reason and consciousness, has passed the test of bravery. He is pointed at with a finger. Ibro belonged to those people. He finally relented and took me one day, at my persistent requests and pleas, to hunt the horned viper &#8211; we needed money (three dinars &#8211; a rubber ball!). The Health Center bought the captured horned vipers (four dinars each!). Poison was extracted from them for medicine\u2026 I witnessed Ibro&#8217;s struggle with the viper. On Ibro&#8217;s signal, I saw it, merged with the branch on which it lay. The horned viper! It sensed us, raised itself, lifting its upper body with its head, remaining motionless for a moment or two, an eternity &#8211; immobile, focused on Ibro, the certain victim. It hissed, almost inaudibly. Its thin, long tongue flickered, crossing over its elongated jaws, threatening. They observed each other, waiting, measuring who would make the first move. I stood breathless &#8211; terrified or amazed by the unique sight of the clash between life and death\u2026 I saw the hunter&#8217;s sudden swift jump. The snake&#8217;s head pressed against the forked stick. The thin, long tongue, jaws wide open, making a final effort to reach the prey, the slender, smooth body flailing from side to side in an attempt to free itself from the firm grip of the attacker. Ibro captured the prey by its head, with a practiced movement, and placed it in a jar.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About Ibro&#8217;s demise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;(&#8230;) the five of them from Mostar: Ibro, <a href=\"https:\/\/partizansko.info\/partizan\/ahmet-m-brkic\/\" data-type=\"partizan\" data-id=\"2469\">Lebro Brki\u0107<\/a>, Alija Puzi\u0107, <a href=\"https:\/\/partizansko.info\/partizan\/drago-d-knezic\/\" data-type=\"partizan\" data-id=\"2880\">Drago Kne\u017ei\u0107<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/partizansko.info\/partizan\/muhamed-m-zuljevic\/\" data-type=\"partizan\" data-id=\"817\">Hamda \u017duljevi\u0107<\/a> were assigned to the brigade as &#8220;students&#8221; to assist the commissioner and political delegates&#8230; They stuck together like brothers; they endured hunger and hardships like the rest&#8230; Daily battles were fought. The brigade fought its way, breaking the resistance of the Domobrans, Germans, Chetniks, and other enemies; gunfire was daily from all sides&#8230; A quarrel broke out; they say it was over nothing; they cursed, and Corporal Ibro, Ibro cursed the corporal three times &#8211; they talked about it later&#8230; Ibro took hold of his rifle, loaded it &#8211; the fighters jumped. The corporal threatened &#8211; he would show him his God! The commander arrived, listened to the story, and ordered Ibro to be tied up. (&#8230;) They tried Ibro swiftly. That&#8217;s the law, they said, when judgments are made during the course of battle&#8230; They took Ibro behind the rocks. A voice was heard &#8211; they claim Ibro was saluting victory, communism, revolution. Until the formation of the 13th Herzegovina Brigade in May 1944, 827 fighters passed through the Battalion, and 445 of them perished, including 211 from Mostar. Of the 86 women, 43 were killed. Mostar residents also fought in many other units of the NOVJ (People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia) and among the ranks of the activists of the National Liberation War in Mostar and other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina... According to the records of the organization SUBNOR Mostar, every third citizen was an activist of the National Liberation War, 670 fighters were killed, 1517 were victims of fascist terror, and 206 were civilian war victims. D\u017eemil \u0160arac, article \"Sa Mostarcima\" (\"With the People from Mostar\"), Hercegovina No. 9, p. 221.\r\n\r\n\"And we were all young. Those of us who were 17, 18 years old, some seemed old even though they were not older than 25. The ones over 30 were rare. There were girls and boys with different characteristics and temperaments, robust and calm, talkative and silent, recklessly brave and rational, ordinary and above-average, semi-literate and university-educated, workers and highly skilled craftsmen, high school students and university students, skilled singers and those who couldn't carry a tune, jokers and serious-minded individuals. From all our nations and religions: Muslims, Croats, Serbs, Jews, Orthodox Christians, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, atheists, and semi-atheists. Some were from straight from Mostar and others from the surrounding locations, from Konjic and outside Konjic.\" (Hercegovina Magazine No. 7, p. 238)\r\n\r\nGroups of new fighters arrived from Mostar every 10-15 days, and the Unit quickly grew into a solid military force. The guides for the groups from Mostar were Mehmed Arap, Vasa Maslo, Serif Buri\u0107, Husa Orman, Vojo Ivani\u0161evi\u0107, and Pero Krajina, who were among the bravest and most resourceful fighters. The groups regularly brought not only weapons but also medical supplies, sugar for the hospital, writing materials, large quantities of paper, books taken from the National Library (which formed the library at Borci), and other supplies for the needs of the Unit.
