JUSUF MUGDIM \u0106ATI\u0106, son of AVDO, from Mostar, born on September 5, 1921, in Mostar, a tailor. Member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ) since 1941, secretary of the SKOJ core for the Podhum neighborhood. As a young conspirator, he decided to cut off the electric power line. He died while carrying out sabotage on December 29, 1941*, in Mostar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cutting off electricity, telephone wires, along with breaking streetlights to write slogans on the walls under the cover of darkness (“Down with the occupiers and their servants,” “Long live the KPJ,” “Long live the USSR,” etc.) was part of the daily activities of young illegal activists. Mugdim tragically died on a mission. While cutting the Mostar-\u010capljina power line, he got stuck on an electrical pole and was fatally electrocuted. A monument was erected in Vukodol, where he died (near the substation at 43.331326,17.795833 on Google Maps).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
