IVO BRONZOVI\u0106, son of FABIJAN, born on April 10, 1924, in Selce on Bra\u010d. He worked as a medic in Mostar. Member of the League of Communist Youth (SKOJ), an illegal operative, distinguished himself in collecting medical supplies for the unit. Arrested after a SKOJ action on March 22, 1943, in which he and \u0106amil Deli\u0107<\/a> helped sixteen-year-old SKOJ member Samija Puzi\u0107 escape from the hospital where she was being treated (Samija was caught while putting up posters and was admitted to the hospital due to beatings). He was arrested and taken to the Jasenovac-Stara Gradi\u0161ka camp, where he was executed. Samija joined the partisans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report by the Chief of Security, Mate Roko, regarding the escape of Samija Puzi\u0107 stated the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Through investigations conducted in this area, it was determined that the escape of Samija Puzi\u0107 was organized by Halid Sadikovi\u0107, a photographic assistant originally from Ljubu\u0161ki and residing in Mostar. They were aided by the medics Ivo Bronzovi\u0107 and \u0106amil Deli\u0107. \u0106amil Deli\u0107 had the task of distracting the security guard who was guarding Puzi\u0107, while Ivo Bronzovi\u0107 was responsible for delivering goods to her in the hospital garden and breaking open the doors near the hospital morgue. Both of them carried out their tasks completely, and Bronzovi\u0107 brought Samija Puzi\u0107 to the mentioned doors, where Halid Sadikovi\u0107 was waiting. The security guard noticed the escape shortly after, but the search was in vain. As mentioned, the captured medics Ivo Bronzovi\u0107 and \u0106amil Deli\u0107 admitted to the act, while Samija Puzi\u0107 and Halid Sadikovi\u0107 have not been found in Mostar to this day.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
